Requirements:

Ripe plantains - 3

All-purpose flour - 1cup

Rice Flour - 1tbsp

Sugar - 1tbsp

Turmeric - a pinch (optional)

Water - 3/4 cup

Salt - as per taste

Oil - to deep fry

How to Fry?

Firstly, take the plantains peel them and slice them vertically - in full length sizes and set them aside.

Take a bowl and add all-purpose flour, rice flour, sugar, turmeric and salt and mix them well.
Now add water and mix well and make sure lumps are formed. Keep it to a side.

Now take a kadai (wok) and pre heat it. Add oil to it the wok and let it heat.

Once the oil is heated take the plantain slices and dip them in the batter. Make sure all the sides are covered evenly.

Put them in the oil and let them fry until they turn golden brown. Once they are fried drain the oil by placing them on a paper towel.  Once drained they are ready to serve.

Serve them hot and they are a best snack to have with a nice cup of tea.
